Bali 2024
Bali was my first solo trip at 47. Better late than never! I had already been there for a few days in 2001 with my boyfriend (my husband today) during a 2-month trip to Asia. This time, I wanted to immerse myself in it a little more. So I started my trip by volunteering in Lovina, a small coastal town, with pre-school children. Our role was to teach the children a little English and introduce them to other cultures. * I loved working with the children and watching the magnificent sunsets in Lovina. I then headed to Canggu to continue my adventure with a small yoga retreat at Udara Bali**. I had always wanted to experience this, and this place is simply perfect. I'll leave you the link and some photos. I completed my trip by going to Ubud for shopping and Kuta for the beach. This journey was naturally interspersed with some visits and expeditions that allowed me to contemplate magnificent temples, rice fields, and landscapes, all equally popular. It must be said, Bali is a very touristy place today, but it is still worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.
*The organization I chose for this experience is "International Volunteer HQ". It offers volunteer trips all over the world, and if this type of project interests you, I recommend them. www.volunteerhq.org
